Social Media’s Impact on Modern Activism
This visual was created as a cover piece for a short essay I wrote on the modern landscape of social media activism. The same systems of democratization and mass reach that benefit protest movements on social networks can also muddle and obscure, leaving a message distorted and warped. The distortion seen in the graphic was created using by repeatedly taking a picture of an image on a screen, and then a picture of that photo, and so on. You can read the full essay below.
